Promoting optimal energy services tailored
to customer needs

Our corporate group will promote the 3-in-1 comprehensive energy services integrating city gas, LP gas, and electricity, and will start procuring and selling carbon-neutral gas and electricity. In addition to launching new energy services such as TPO (Third-Party Ownership: a mechanism in which business operators install solar power generation systems in spaces such as the roofs of customers’ homes and offices), we will aim to be carbon-neutral by also utilizing gas co-generation and renewable energy.
Under our Medium-Term Management Plan 2024, we are working to achieve the targets such as “gas sales volume of 1 billion m3/year,” “retail electricity sales volume of 66 GWh/year (equivalent to approximately 16,000 transactions),” and “200,000 customer accounts (gas, electricity, and other services).”

Contributing to medical care and health through a stable supply of iodine

We will build a system to increase production in line with market growth, and introduce products that meet market needs. To that end, we will expand development investment, increase the production of brine water (groundwater containing natural gas and iodine), which is the raw material for iodine, and invest in the enhancement of iodine production facilities.
In the Medium-Term Management Plan 2024, we are working to achieve a target of 1,800 tons of iodine sales volume (including potassium iodide) per year.

Promotion of safety and anti-disaster measures for a stable supply of energy

In order to ensure a stable supply of energy, safety and security, we constantly promote safety and anti-disaster measures. We are working to ensure safety by preventing serious accidents, expedite response to landslides, strengthen the early recovery of key facilities, and prepare for large-scale natural disasters such as those experienced in the recent years.
In our Medium-Term Management Plan 2024, we are working on the goals of “0 serious accidents*” and “continuous improvement of anti-disaster measures and contribution to the disaster prevention of local communities.”

  • Serious accidents: Accidents resulting in injury or death and explosions related to the supply and consumption of gas in the city gas and LP gas businesses, accidents resulting in injury or death and explosions in works we outsourced (piping, equipment installation, etc.), reported mine disasters and damages that resulted in the suspension of mining for 3 or more days in the natural gas production business, occupational injury of employees and temporary workers that resulted in 4 or more days of their leave in the construction business, and reported industrial accidents and pollutions in the iodine business.
